Dog Daycare & Waiver Form

I understand that I am solely responsible for any harm whatsoever caused by my dog(s) while my dog(s) is/are attending daycare at Brigadoon.

I also understand and agree that in admitting my dog(s), Brigadoon has relied upon my representation that my dog(s) is/are in good health and have not harmed or shown aggression or threatening behaviour towards any person or any other dog.

I further understand that due to the ways dogs interact with one another, minor cuts and scratches can occur even though the dogs are carefully supervised at all times.

While my dog(s) is/are in the care and custody of Brigadoon, if I am unreachable in the event of an emergency, I hereby authorise Brigadoon, its agents, and/or representatives to seek immediate veterinary care for my dog(s). I understand that all costs in connection with, veterinary, medical or other treatment shall be my responsibility.

I hereby release and agree to save and hold harmless, Brigadoon, its’ directors, officers, shareholders, employees, assistants, members and agents from any and all liability, claims, suits, actions, loss, injury or damage of any nature or kind, for any liability, claims, suits, actions, loss, injury or damage which I or my dog(s) may sustain or which may be caused in any way by my dog(s). I specifically, without limitation, agree to fully indemnify Brigadoon for any and all such liability, claims, suits, actions, losses, injury or damage.

I understand that there are risks and benefits associated with group socialisation of dogs. I accept the risk and desire a socialised environment for my dog whilst attending daycare @ Brigadoon Although every care will be taken for the dog/s, I understand and accept that it is still possible that during the course of normal play, dog/s may receive minor nicks and scratches, injuries and/or any transmissible virus from playing with other dogs.

I certify that I have read and understand the rules and regulations set forth herein and that I have read and understand this agreement. I agree to abide by the rules and regulations and accept all the terms, conditions and statements of this agreement and confirm the truthfulness of the contents of the application form completed by me.

Although we carefully screen all applicants, occasionally we discover that this is not an appropriate environment for every dog. Brigadoon reserves the right to permanently remove any dog from daycare at any time. We are an exclusive daycare for all breed dogs and puppies and reserve the right to disallow any unsuitable dogs to participate in the daycare at any time. No fees will be refunded in this case.

Our daycare group is limited to 10 dogs per day to allow for personalised hands on attention for each member. This is the cornerstone of Brigadoon- I only want the best experience for the dogs here, whether it be at daycare, grooming or boarding.

No dog/s will be released to any unauthorised persons unless prior written consent with adequate identification is received. The safety of your pets is our first priority.

Unless Brigadoon cancels daycare for the day due to extreme/dangerous weather or an emergency, you will be charged for the day unless your pet is ill and 24 hours notice thereof is given prior. In cases of sudden onset of illness or veterinary care required, Brigadoon will assess on a case by case basis.

Please note that I run Brigadoon solely, your pets are my passion & not a business endevour. My commitment is to caring for your and other pets at Brigadoon. This means that I work strictly by appointment as this allows me to do my job to the best of my ability and to give the pets the attention & dedicated care I pride myself on. Times for drop off and collection are to be prearranged with myself and adhered to. Extenuating circumstances , traffic delays and other unforeseen occurrences need to be communicated timeously. Your assistance in this regard is paramount to being able to provide the best service that your pet/s deserve.

I do not have strict drop off & collection hours to assist with your schedule & for your convenience, however the pre-agreed times for collection & drop off require your compliance at all times in order to provide the best service to you & your pet/s.

Please note that Brigadoon is an exclusive daycare for dogs and puppies. We do not cater for unsocialised dogs and reserve the right to admit only those dogs we find suitable for our establishment.

Additionally, you will be required to provide proof of vaccinations, deworming and flea/tick measures used for your dog upon enrolment. Thereafter, it is your responsibility to upkeep these protocols , if this is not viable for you, please advise us so we can administer deworming and flea/tick measures that will be for your account accordingly. 

Fees are due upon presentation at the beginning of the month and refunds are not applicable unless your pet is hospitalised and proof thereof is required. Any costs incurred in the month for your pet will become due at the end of that calendar month.

You are additionally required to pack your dog’s lunch (if applicable) and/or snacks so that we can dispense these accordingly to your pet/s.

By signing this agreement, you additionally acknowledge that should you no longer require your dog/s to attend daycare that 1 (one) calendar months written notice is to be given.
